This is an action to recover damages for physical injury to property brought by the owner of the property, Wyandotte Chemicals Corporation, and Wyandottes insurer, Centennial Insurance Company (hereinafter plaintiffs) incurred because of the negligence of the defendants, Royal Electric Manufacturing Company, Inc. (hereinafter Royal), Thomas Electric Service, Inc. (hereinafter Thomas), and Charles E. Schuler Engineering Company (hereinafter Schuler). Following a jury trial, with verdict for the plaintiffs as against all defendants, judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiffs in the amount of $36,375.02 compensatory damages plus costs and interest on the judgment from the date of verdict, but judgment was entered against the plaintiffs as to their claim for preverdict interest. The plaintiffs appeal from that portion of the judgment denying preverdict interest.
